One of the most appealing geological concepts is propagating that in the recent years, along with the end of the 18th century (industrial revolution*) a new age has started in the history of the Earth – Antropocen**. According to this theory, for significant environmental changes of our planet, responsibility is on the human’s side (ánthropo – gr. man, kainós – gr. new). And that’s why, intense influence of the human factor is clearly distinguishing it from previous periods.

People’s activity appears on many plains, having a determined impact on the ecosystem. From the economic and social reasons, worrying processes have their beginning in the local environment. Expanding automatically to larger and larger areas, they culminate on a global scale.
I was enchained by the problem of incompetent and irresponsible use of the paper. It is being wasted at households and through the chaotic operation of large enterprises and bureaucratic apparatuses.

The “Anxiety” project is a (photography registered) cycle of environmental inter-ferences, which realizing the utopian vision of the return of destroyed paper to his primeval location. Using material grinded in shredders and recovered from offices of enterprises, as well as coming from my own homestead, in the symbolic way I am trying to heal wounds of trees (caused by natural factors or the destructive human activity). It is an attempt to create situation in which paper material becomes a part of the natural space back again. Through this quaint gesture, I’m trying to turn attention to the significance of upcycling and recycling activities. But primally, I want to emphasize the exigence of conscious and considered using paper or similar materials in everybody’s life.

Can we discern appearing deeper awareness and worrying processes which decline before our eyes, in the pursuance of a few scientists for establishing the age of Antropocen?
